Job 29-30

Who am I to comment on Job's circumstance and words? I run the risk of sounding just like Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar.
I know this, He loves me. What He has for me is beneficial and further it is far better than what I deserve, eternal hell.

Powerful. Growing. Faith.

Something about the beginning of a new year brings together hearts and minds all across the globe with a God-given desire to read His Word. Funny how this desire is heightened at the start of each year, and yet for me, I tend to falter in my commitment so quickly. Perhaps you have a similar struggle?

I'm not sure how it works, that we are changed more to be like Jesus Christ by reading this Book, but according to God the Holy Spirit, it changes us from the inside out. There is unbelievable power in the very Words of God. The question for us is do we believe this enough to make the Word of God priority in our lives? The just will live by faith.

The purpose of this blog is for the mutual encouragement of fellow "Thru the Bible" readers at Valley Community Church - and anyone else who wants to join us! Each day there will be a new post regarding the current passage which provides you an opportunity to share your thoughts regarding what God is teaching you or even write an edifying comment in response to what someone else posts. I'm not sure that edification through "blogging" is what the Apostle Paul had in mind when he penned I Thessalonians, but this certainly fits into the category of GROWING FAITH as we meditate on the Word of God and encourage one another!
