How do we evaluate our leaders? How do you evaluate
yourself?
What is our criteria for "success"?
In the Kings and Chronicles leaders are evaluated through a
very distinctive lens…through “the eyes of the Lord.”
These passages give us a particular way of seeing history:
through the “the eyes of the Lord.” It is like set of prescription lenses for
seeing all of life more clearly. The bible provides an alternative
criteria for defining "success."
What a great thing it would to have as a part of “our
history story,” – he did right in the eyes of the Lord all the days of his
life.
I pray that the Holy Spirit would help us see our life
through “the eyes of the Lord.”
