In these chapters, David organizes the Levites (chapter 23),
the priests (chapter 24), and the musicians (chapter 25) in preparation for his
son Solomon to become king over Israel .
The service of these three groups was essential to the functions of the
temple.
Each individual believer has a distinct gift to use in the
edification of the body of believers.
For as in one
body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same
function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and
individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ
according to the grace given to us, let us use them. –Romans 12:4-6
Let us use our gifts.
